Top 20 7-Seaters June 2026: The demand for spacious family cars continues to grow in India, and June 2026 brought another interesting sales battle in the three-row passenger vehicle segment. From affordable MPVs to premium SUVs, buyers had plenty of choices, but the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga once again proved difficult to beat.
The Ertiga retained the top position with 16,111 units sold during the month. Mahindra also delivered a powerful performance, placing several models near the top of the sales chart. Overall, the 7-seater segment recorded 78,640 units in June 2026, compared with 67,416 units in the same month last year, representing 16.6 percent year-on-year growth.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Remains India’s Best-Selling 7-Seater
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga continued its strong run by securing first place with sales of 16,111 units in June 2026. The popular MPV recorded 13.9 percent year-on-year growth and accounted for approximately 20.5 percent of total 7-seater sales during the month.

Its consistent performance helped Maruti Suzuki maintain its leadership in the three-row passenger vehicle market. The Ertiga remained ahead of several popular SUVs and MPVs, showing its strong position among Indian family car buyers.
Mahindra Scorpio Holds Second Position
The Mahindra Scorpio remained the closest competitor to the Ertiga, recording sales of 14,097 units in June 2026. The model registered 10.7 percent year-on-year growth and comfortably secured second position.
Mahindra strengthened its presence further with the XUV 7XO, which climbed to third place with 9,244 units. The model recorded impressive annual growth of 49.1 percent, making it one of the strongest performers among the leading 7-seaters.
Mahindra Bolero and Toyota Innova Complete the Top Five
The Mahindra Bolero secured fourth position with sales of 9,115 units. Its volumes increased by 21.9 percent compared with June 2025, highlighting the continued demand for the long-running utility vehicle.
Toyota’s combined Innova sales stood at 7,332 units, placing the model in fifth position. However, sales declined by 16.7 percent year-on-year. Despite the drop, the Innova remained one of the leading names in India’s premium MPV market.
Kia Carens Clavis Faces a Sales Decline
The Kia Carens Clavis range occupied sixth position with sales of 4,847 units. However, the combined volumes declined by 38.8 percent compared with the corresponding month of the previous year.
Despite the decline, the Carens Clavis remained among the ten best-selling three-row vehicles in India. The competitive nature of the segment means established models now face increasing pressure from both new launches and rapidly growing rivals.
Mahindra XEV 9S Makes a Strong Impact
One of the biggest highlights of the June 2026 sales chart was the Mahindra XEV 9S. The recently introduced model recorded an impressive 4,018 units and secured seventh position.
The XEV 9S captured around 5.1 percent of the segment, making a notable impact within a short period. Its performance also helped Mahindra place four models among the top seven positions in the 7-seater rankings.
Maruti XL6, Fortuner, and Rumion Enter the Top Ten
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 finished eighth with sales of 2,711 units, recording healthy year-on-year growth of 34.8 percent. The Toyota Fortuner followed in ninth position with 2,514 units, although its sales declined by 8.3 percent.
The Toyota Rumion completed the top ten with 2,376 units. It emerged as one of the strongest growth performers of the month, recording a significant 67.9 percent increase compared with June 2025.
Renault Triber and Nissan Gravite Deliver Encouraging Numbers
The Renault Triber secured eleventh position with 1,871 units and recorded 31.7 percent year-on-year growth. The Nissan Gravite followed closely with 1,839 units, marking an encouraging start for the recently introduced model.
The Tata Safari finished thirteenth with 1,271 units. Its sales increased by 37.9 percent compared with the same month last year, allowing it to stay ahead of several premium three-row SUVs.
MG Majestor and Other Premium SUVs Complete the Rankings
The MG Majestor recorded 587 units and secured fourteenth position. The Hyundai Alcazar followed with 304 units, but its sales declined sharply by 74.1 percent year-on-year, making it one of the biggest declines in the rankings.
The Toyota Vellfire recorded 140 units, followed by the Skoda Kodiaq with 106 units and the Jeep Meridian with 84 units. The Volkswagen Tayron registered 43 units, while the Kia Carnival completed the top 20 with sales of 30 units.
Mahindra Strengthens Its Position in the 7-Seater Segment
June 2026 proved to be a strong month for Mahindra, with the Scorpio, XUV 7XO, Bolero and XEV 9S all securing positions among the top seven models. This gave the company a powerful presence across different sections of the three-row vehicle market.
Maruti Suzuki, meanwhile, retained the overall leadership through the Ertiga, while Toyota continued to maintain a strong presence with models including the Innova, Fortuner, Rumion and Vellfire.
7-Seater Vehicle Sales Grow 16.6 Percent
The overall 7-seater passenger vehicle segment recorded sales of 78,640 units in June 2026, compared with 67,416 units during the same month in 2025. This resulted in year-on-year growth of 16.6 percent.

The numbers show that Indian buyers continue to show strong interest in spacious vehicles. With new models entering the market and existing vehicles recording healthy growth, competition in the 7-seater segment is likely to remain intense.
